hillious billious

i am not a fan of punching candidates during a campaign…not literal with the punching.  obama has had his moments and comments both ill-timed and ill-stated.  hillary has had her moments and comments both ill-timed.  hillary’s latest gaff seemed a bit odd but i believe i can see beyond what she said and see what she was trying to say.  that said, i think her time is up, but that’s enough of my political commentary at the moment.  i do not believe it best to place a great deal of importance on the single statements made by candidates.  patterns of action and evidence of trends in attitude are what i would look for.  voting for me has never really been about ‘the issues’, mainly because if i was to honestly vote for a candidate with views to which i could align, i would have to vote only for myself…and i ain’t running.  further, i have always been of the mindset that a president is one thing; congress is another.  most presidents have had to battle congress and vice versa…seems the american way.  i personally believe there are sufficient terrorist tactics employed by special interests groups, lobbyists, senators, and representatives…along with supreme court justices.  the president is a part of the whole picture that, in an of itself, still includes me and the reality that my behavior, as far as i know it, has never been directly affected on an ongoing basis by the individual actions of the elected officials.  even if america…the united states here which…were under the leadership of a dictator, while i know my behavior would be greatly affected, i would never be complete disempowered.  i control my hope and my peace of mind, not to forget my piece of mind.  thank you hillary and obama for demonstrating your humanity.  i am pleased you are one like me.
