wise
sometimes i think about how i would be best in situations if i was quiet, observant, commenting only when asked, not offering perspective. then again, i sometimes think about folk i know who take such a posture in interactions. while it can appear as though those folk are wise and respectful, it can also appear as if they are indifferent, and might be a bit discounting. then again, i am not sure it is discount but perhaps is the most respectful way to be. it’s not like i can try on another way as if it was interchangeable as a pair of pants
